16. How to Reset the MP Host Plugin

Modified on Wed, 11 Sep at 2:05 AM

All the settings and scanned plugins references are stored in the host.properties text file located in:

Windows: C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\MP\Host

Mac: /Users/USER/Library/Application Support/MP/Host

To reset all the settings and return to default delete or rename this host.properties file.

To reset the default preset, just delete the default.xml and it will be recreated the next time you load the MPH in the DAW.

When you delete the host.properties file your MPH presets will not be affected.

To navigate to the host.properties file via the MP Host plugin:

  1. Open the plugin and click on the Control & Display button.

  2. Right click on the main black area of the big window

  3. Select Presets > Show Presets Folder and it will open the MP/Host folder (see video here)

If when loading the MPH is loading a preset you created instead of the empty preset, you should delete the default.xml from the Presets folder.
